Sec. 11-67. Shoplifting.
   Any person who shall willfully take possession of any goods, wares or merchandise offered for the sale by any store or other mercantile establishment with the intention of converting the same to his use without paying the purchase price thereof, shall be guilty of the offense of shoplifting. (Code 1982, § 22-401)
