Sec. 2-124. City administrator appointment; qualifications; compensation; removal.
   The common council may appoint a city administrator for an indefinite term and fix the administrator’s compensation. The city administrator
shall be appointed solely on the basis of executive and administrative qualifications. The city administrator need not be a resident of the city or state at the time of appointment but may reside outside the city while in office in conjunction with his or her employment agreement. The city administrator, as an officer of the city, may be removed by the mayor.
