A petition for the vacation of a street and/or alley shall be presented to the City Clerk in writing, giving a full description of the street and/or alley proposed to be vacated, with a detailed legal description of the property adjacent and contiguous to the proposed vacation. The petitioner shall also deposit with the City Clerk a fee of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00), which fee shall be deposited to the General Fund of the City. Such petition shall be referred to the Planning Commission for its recommendation. Thereafter, proceedings shall be taken as provided in Section 190 of the City Charter.
