No person shall affix another's signature or swear to any statement that is false in any material particular; induce any person not qualified as an elector to sign any initiatory, referendary or recall petition; take the oath of another to any such petition not knowing him or her to be the identical person he or she represents himself or herself to be or knowing that the petition or any part thereof is false or fraudulent in any material particular; or falsely represent that the petition is sponsored by others than the true sponsors.
