The following are exempted from compliance with this chapter:
(a) Sounds generated from any government or emergency vehicle while engaged in necessary public business;
(b) Sounds generated from excavations or repairs of bridges, streets, highways, or other public works projects by or on behalf of the City, County, or State, at any time of the day when the public welfare and convenience requires such work;
(c) Sounds generated from the reasonable use of amplifiers or loud speakers in the course of public addresses which are non-commercial in character, and in which amplifiers or loud speakers are not used in connection with any moving or non-moving vehicle;
(d) Parades and public assemblies for which valid permits have been obtained;
(e) Sounds from any publicly maintained emergency device, early warning system, or civil defense device or system;
(f) Any school, church, or City-sponsored sporting event or assembly conducted during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.;
(g) Any activity for which a City permit or license was issued;
(h) Sounds from equipment used to maintain landscaping on a periodic basis, including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, edgers, hedge trimmers and similar types of equipment when used between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.; and,
(i) Sound from equipment used for moving or removing snow from residential or commercial property if such equipment is in good working order and is used only as needed.
