Any provision of this Chapter, including the Uniform Traffic Code adopted and amended herein, which describes an act or omission which constitutes a civil infraction under the terms of the Michigan Vehicle Code, being Act 300 of the Public Acts of 1949, as amended, shall be processed as a civil infraction and any person found to have committed a civil infraction may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $100 and costs, in accordance with Section 907 of the Michigan Vehicle Code. Violation of any of the provisions of this Chapter, including the Motor Vehicle Code and the Uniform Traffic Code, adopted and amended herein, not constituting a civil infraction as herein provided, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment of not more than 93 days, or both.
