297.22 SUBROGATION.

If a person becomes entitled to a pension payable from funds of the Employees Retirement System as the result of an accident or injury caused by the act of a third party, the City shall be subrogated to the rights of the person against such third party to the extent of the benefits which the City pays or becomes liable to pay under this chapter.
