297.15 DEFERRED RETIREMENT.
   If any member who has ten or more years of credited service leaves the employ of the City prior to his or her attainment of sixty years of age, for any reason except his or her retirement or death, he or she shall be entitled to a pension provided for in Section 297.13, provided that he or she does not withdraw his or her accumulated contributions from the Members Deposit Fund. Such pension shall begin as of the first day of the calendar month next following the month in which his or her application for the same is filed with the Board of Trustees on or after his or her attainment of sixty years of age.
