290.01 COMPOSITION; TERMS OF OFFICE; COMPENSATION.
   The Public Safety Commission, heretofore established by Section 72 of the City Charter, is hereby continued. The Commission shall consist of seven members, each of whom shall serve for a term of two years from and after the third Monday in April following each regular biennial City election, and until their successors are appointed and qualified. Members shall be qualified for appointive office as prescribed by the City Charter. The Mayor shall certify the names of his or her appointees, in writing, to the City Clerk, on or before the third Monday in April following each regular biennial City election and at such other times as may be required to fill vacancies. Members shall serve without compensation, except that Council may authorize payment of bona fide expenses incurred by any member.
