(a) Any person who held full employment with the Township of Ecorse for one year or more, on the effective date of this Charter, shall automatically come under the provisions of the civil service system without qualifying examination.
(b) Any person who held full-time employment with the Township of Ecorse for six months, but less than one year, on the effective date of this Charter, shall continue in a probationary status until completing one year of service, at which time he will automatically come under the provisions of the civil service system without qualifying examination.
(c) Any person with less than six months of service on the effective date of this Charter shall take a qualifying civil service examination as provided under Section 235 of this Charter.
