The Mayor, the President of the Council, the City Engineer and the Health Officer shall constitute the Board of Health of the City, and shall have and exercise all the powers and authority conferred upon boards of health by the general laws of the State.
The Board of Health may, at its discretion, with the approval of the Council, designate the Wayne County Department of Health as the official agency of the City to carry out and administer the duties and functions of the Board of Health as required by the statutes of the State of Michigan, this Charter and the ordinances of the City of Southgate.
