(a) The compensation of the Mayor shall be thirty-five hundred dollars ($3,500) and twelve hundred dollar ($1,200) expense account, making a total of forty-seven hundred dollars ($4,700) per annum, that of the City Clerk twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500) per annum, and that of the City Treasurer two thousand dollars ($2,000) per annum. Such salaries shall be payable monthly and, except as otherwise provided in this Charter, shall constitute the only salary or remuneration which may be paid for services.
(b) Members of the various boards and commissions shall serve without salary or remuneration.
