509.15 REGULATION OF HOURS FOR CONSTRUCTION OR REPAIR OF BUILDINGS.
   (a)   The construction, repair or erection, including excavation, demolition or alteration of any building or structure as defined in the Planning and Zoning Code, or landscaping or lawn maintenance work, other than between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., on Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, is prohibited, except in case of urgent necessity in the interest of public health, safety and welfare, and then only with a permit from the Commissioner of Building which may be granted for a period not exceeding three days, and further excepting any minor repair of any building or structure or landscaping or lawn maintenance work by the owner-occupant or tenant of any building.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
