505.012 APPEAL PROCEDURE.
   (a)   The owner of a dog who has been served with a notice pursuant to Section 505.01(b)(4) or (b)(5) may, within seven days after receipt of such notice, make a written demand to the Chief of Police for a hearing on the question of whether the dog is dangerous or vicious as defined in Section 505.01.
   (b)   Every effort should be made to hold a hearing no later than ten days following receipt of written demand to the Chief of Police and at least three days notice of the hearing shall be given to the individual, who made the demand for the hearing.
   (c)   The hearing shall be conducted by a panel of three members. Each member shall be appointed by and serve at the discretion of the Mayor with no set term to their appointment.
