An application for a certificate of occupancy shall be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00) payable annually for each dwelling unit within 30 days of the receipt of the notification letter. Renewal notices will be sent out no later than 30 days from the expiration date of the current certificate. If such application is not filed within 30 days of notice, an additional one hundred dollar ($100.00) fee shall be paid. If the City of South Euclid discovers that the property is an unregistered rental property, an additional fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be due in addition to all other applicable fees. For multiple unit dwellings, the annual non-refundable rental fee shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the first unit, one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each additional unit up to a maximum limit of three thousand dollars ($3,000), not including late fees or penalties. If payment has not been received by the deadline, and court action is taken to collect the applicable fee(s), an additional fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be required. This fee will be required over and above any court fees that are charged. If occupancy is revoked due to non-payment of fees and property is secured by the City of South Euclid, an additional fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be paid before certificate of occupancy will be granted. A fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) may be charged for missed rental inspection appointments.
