Members of the Department of Police work eight, ten, or twelve hour shifts depending on their assignment, but shall not be required to work more than eight, ten, or twelve hours in any one day nor more than eighty hours in any biweekly pay period, except for necessary appearances in court and emergency special duty assignments.
