There is created within the Department of Service the position of Superintendent-Chief Mechanic, Garage and Vehicle Maintenance, who shall be appointed by the Mayor and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. The duties of such office shall be the control, maintenance and repair of City-owned vehicles and Service Department equipment and for such other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Service.
