The Director of Law may appoint an Assistant Prosecutor with the approval of the Mayor, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Director. No person is eligible for appointment who has not been admitted to the practice of law in the State. No bond is required of the Assistant Prosecutor.
The Assistant Prosecutor shall prepare and prosecute all matters arising from violations of the ordinances of the City and the laws of the State, as he shall be directed by the Prosecutor. He shall have such other duties as may be required of him by the Director of Law.
