§ 52.19 REMOVAL OF RECYCLABLE MATERIALS FOR SCAVENGING PROHIBITED.
The curbside recycling program provides for the separation of aluminum, glass, newsprint, tin, and HDPE plastic from normal household refuse for placement in the recycling cart and collection from the normal collection point on the designated pick-up day. The village may from time to time alter the materials to be separated from the household waste stream and include those materials in the recycling program. Residents will be notified of any change in the recyclable materials to be separated from household refuse. Recyclable materials placed in or alongside the cart and set at the curb or other designated collection location shall become the property of the village and the contract hauler. It shall be unlawful for persons, firms or corporations, other than the contract hauler, to remove any recyclable materials from the designated pick-up locations.
