Any person, firm, or corporation violating any provision of this code of ordinances or any penal ordinance previously or subsequently enacted by this village shall be fined not less than $25 nor more than $750 for each offense. With respect to any offense which continues and is not a single event, a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. Any existing ordinance of this village which provides a minimum fine of less than $25 and a maximum fine of not more than $500 is amended, consistent with this section, to provide a minimum fine of $25 and a maximum fine of $750, as aforesaid, for each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues under any other ordinance of this village.
