§ 50.15 ENCROACHMENTS PROHIBITED.
   Except as expressly permitted by this code, it shall be unlawful to erect or maintain any building or structure, as defined in § 154.015 of this code, fence, sign, or other temporary or permanent object, or any appurtenance thereto, that encroaches upon, under or over any right-of-way or public property. Awnings, marquees, advertising signs and similar structures encroaching into the right-of-way in existence as of the effective date of this ordinance shall be treated as nonconforming structures in accordance with §§ 154.060 through 154.064 of this code.
