§ 7-2-2 PERMITTING VIOLATIONS.
   (A)   Unlicensed drivers. No person shall authorize or knowingly permit a motor vehicle owned by him or her or under his or her control to be driven or towed upon any street or alley within the town by any person who is not licensed for the type and class of vehicles to be driven or is in violation of any of the provisions of the State Driver’s License Act.
   (B)   Minors. No person shall cause or knowingly permit any minor under the age of 18 years to drive a motor vehicle upon any street or alley within the town when the minor is not properly licensed under the provisions of the State Driver’s License Act.

§ 7-2-3 DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED OR REVOKED.
   It is unlawful for any person to drive a motor vehicle on any street or alley within the town at a time when his or her privilege to do so has been canceled, suspended, or revoked by any authority.

§ 7-2-4 UNLAWFUL USE OF DRIVER’S LICENSE.
   It is an unlawful use of a driver’s license and a violation of this title for any person to:
   (A)   Display, or permit to be displayed, or have possession of any canceled, revoked, suspended, fictitious, or fraudulently altered driver’s license;
   (B)   Lend a driver’s license to any other person, or knowingly permit its use by another;
   (C)   Display or represent as one’s own any driver’s license not issued to such person; or
   (D)   Permit any unlawful use of a driver’s license issued to such person.

§ 7-2-5 IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF LICENSE REQUIRED.
   (A)   Display defined. For the purposes of this section, DISPLAY means the manual surrender of his or her license certificate into the hands of the demanding officer for inspection thereof. After such examination, the officer shall return the license certificate to the licensee.
   (B)   Immediate possession. Every person shall have his or her driver’s license in his or her immediate possession at all times when operating a motor vehicle and shall display the license upon demand of any judicial officer, Municipal Court Judge, or any officer or agent of the state motor vehicle division, or any police officer of the state, county, or municipality.
   (C)   Avoiding conviction. No person charged with violating this section shall be convicted if he or she produces in court a driver’s license previously issued to him or her and valid at the time of the issuance of the citation.

§ 7-2-6 PENALTY.
   Any person found guilty of a violation set forth herein shall be subject to the general penalty set forth in § 1-4-1.
