The unthreaded portion of gas piping outlets shall extend at least one inch through finished ceilings and walls and when extending through floors shall be not less than two inches above them. The outlet fitting or the pipe shall be securely fastened. Outlets shall not be placed behind doors. Outlets shall be far enough from floors and walls to permit the use of a pipe wrench of suitable size without straining or bending the pipe.
