1024.06 LIABILITY OF PROPERTY OWNER FOR DAMAGES UPON FAILURE TO CONSTRUCT OR REPAIR.

If the owner of any lot or land abutting on any street or avenue or part thereof fails to construct or repair any sidewalk in front of his lot or land within the time and in the manner directed and required by this chapter, after having received due notice to do so, he shall be liable for all damages or injury occasioned by reason of the defective or dangerous condition of any such sidewalk.
