10-4-3: BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICTS:
The following rules shall apply with respect to the boundaries of various zoning districts as shown on the zoning district map:
   A.   District boundary lines are the centerlines of highways, streets, alleys, easements, railroad rights of way, toll roads, expressways, rivers and other bodies of waters or section, division of section, tract and lot lines or such lines extended, unless otherwise indicated.
   B.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following the centerlines of highways, streets, alleys, easements, toll roads or expressways shall be construed to follow such centerlines.
   C.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following platted lot lines shall be construed as following such lot lines.
   D.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following village limits shall be construed as following village limits.
   E.   Boundaries indicated as following railroad lines shall be construed to be the established centerline of the right of way, or if no centerline is established, the boundary shall be interpreted to be midway between the right of way lines.
   F.   Boundaries indicated as approximately following the centerlines of rivers or other bodies of water shall be construed to follow such centerlines and, in the event of change in the centerline, shall be construed as moving with the centerline; the centerline shall be interpreted as being midway between the shorelines.
   G.   Boundaries indicated as parallel to or extensions of features indicated in subsections A through F of this section shall be construed as such.
   H.   Whenever any street, alley or other public right of way is vacated by official action of the village board, or whenever such area is franchised for building purposes, the zoning district line adjoining each side of such street, alley or other public right of way shall be automatically extended to the centerline of such vacated street, alley or public right of way, and all areas so involved shall then and henceforth be subject to all regulations of the extended districts.
   I.   Boundaries indicated as dividing a lot or tract shall be construed as being located as shown on the zoning district map.
   J.   Distances not specifically indicated on the zoning district map shall be determined by the scale of the map. (Ord. 93-695, 6-15-1993)
