1-6-17: DISASTER RESPONSE COMMITTEE:
   A.   Committee Created: There is hereby created an ad hoc advisory committee to be known as the "Disaster Response Committee" to work with appropriate Federal, State, and local officials to develop a proposed plan to respond to future natural disasters which might occur in the Village.
   B.   Disaster Response Committee Membership: The Disaster Response Committee shall be composed of a total of twelve (12) members who shall be appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. Provided, however, that the Shorewood Emergency Coordinator shall be a member of the Committee and one Village Trustee shall also be a member of the Committee.
   C.   Disaster Response Committee Duties: The Committee shall work with the staff of the Village and other local, State, and Federal agencies to identify appropriate responses to future natural disasters which may occur in the Village and to recommend to the Village a Natural Emergency Response Plan which may be implemented in times of emergency to coordinate resources of various agencies to best serve the Village.
   D.   Disaster Response Committee Chairperson: The Village Trustee member shall serve as chairperson of the Disaster Response Committee and a liaison between the Committee and the Village President and Board of Trustees.
   E.   Disaster Response Committee Secretary: The Disaster Response Committee shall select one of its members to serve as secretary to prepare minutes of each meeting. (Ord. 96-850, 8-13-1996)
