1-6-16: FLOOD DISASTER COMMITTEE:
   A.   Committee Created: There is hereby created an ad hoc advisory committee to be known as the Flood Disaster Committee (the "Flood Committee") to work with Federal, State, and local officials to advise the President and Board of Trustees as to problems created by the July 1996 flood and to identify potential solutions to those problems.
   B.   Flood Committee Membership: The Flood Committee shall be composed of ten (10) members who shall be appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees.
   C.   Flood Committee Duties: The Committee shall work with Village staff and the staff of Federal, State, and local agencies to:
      1.   Identify problems created by the flood and suggest possible solutions to the President and Board of Trustees.
      2.   Explore potential sources of relief which are available to flood victims.
      3.   Make suggestions to the President and Board of Trustees and Village staff as to a schedule to implement any and all suggestions.
      4.   Consider any and all other business which relates to the flood and make recommendations with regard to same.
   D.   Flood Committee Chairperson: The Village President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees shall name one of the Flood Committee members to serve as Committee chairperson and to serve as liaison to the President and Board of Trustees.
   E.   Flood Committee Secretary: The Flood Committee shall select one of its members to serve as secretary to the Committee to prepare minutes of each meeting.
   F.   Flood Committee Duration: The Flood Committee shall terminate when its business is concluded. (Ord. 96-849, 8-13-1996)
