It is the intent of this chapter to promote and protect the public health, safety and general welfare on public rights of way and other village owned property by providing for the regulation of the planting, maintenance and removal of trees, shrubs and other plants within the village of Shorewood. Additionally, this chapter serves to increase the diversification of tree species within village owned property, rights of way and, when applicable, on private property. (Ord. 15-1767, 2-10-2015)
