A. Division 2.1 (65 ILCS 5/1-2.1-1 et seq.) of the Illinois Municipal Code, as may be amended from time to time, is hereby adopted and incorporated herein to the extent not inconsistent with this Chapter.
B. The Office is empowered to enforce and adjudicate any violation of this Code, including, but not limited to, those violations permitted by Division 31.1 of Article 11 of the Illinois Municipal Code and Section 11-208.3 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, as amended from time to time, or other municipal ordinance, except for:
1. Proceedings not within the statutory or home rule authority of municipalities; and
2. Any offense under the Illinois Vehicle Code or a similar offense that is a traffic regulation governing the movement of vehicles and except for any reportable offenses under Section 6-204 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
C. Those matters subject to the administrative adjudication system provided for by this chapter are charges of violation of any regulation of the Village of Shorewood, excluding traffic violations that regulate the movement of vehicles, so long as the relief sought is not a penalty of incarceration or a total fine in excess of $50,000.00, excluding allowable costs. The $50,000.00 limitation shall not apply to those cases brought to enforce the collection of any tax imposed and collected by the village. (Ord. 23-2060, 1-24-2023)
