11-9-2: WATER SYSTEM:
Water supply and water distribution facilities shall be designed in accordance with the requirements of the state environmental protection agency to provide adequate flow for fire and domestic needs. The water system shall be designed to provide for reasonable expansion and extension of the system. The minimum size water main shall be six inch (6") internal diameter. Larger water mains will be required where necessary for fire flow or for continuity of the system. All water mains shall be sized to meet the fire protection requirements of the then current edition of the fire rating manual or as otherwise required by the village. The sizing of the water mains shall be subject to approval of the village. No valves shall be located in sidewalk or driveway approach. All buffalo boxes shall be within the parkway and not more than eight feet (8') off the street line opposite the center of the proposed building pad. (Ord. 93-721, 12-14-1993)
