3-1-11: BUSINESS LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES OF REGISTRATION; MORE THAN ONE BUSINESS PER PREMISES:
Except as otherwise expressly provided in this chapter to the contrary, if any person holding a business license under this chapter engages in any other business, occupation or activity on the licensed premises in connection with the licensed business, occupation or activity (hereinafter referred to as "additional business, occupation or activity"), the licensee will not be required to obtain or pay for an additional business license therefor; provided that the fee paid for the licensed business, occupation or activity is at least equal in the amount to the highest license fee required for such additional business, occupation or activity, and provided that the additional business, occupation or activity obtains a certificate of registration, which shall be issued at no charge. This section shall not be construed so as to relieve any person from complying with any other regulations applicable to either business. This exemption shall not apply to any person engaging in the sale of cigarettes, cigars and tobacco, at retail, or in the sale of alcoholic beverages, the sale of drug paraphernalia or to vending machines, jukeboxes and any other devices so specified pursuant to ordinance, and such dealer shall be required to purchase a license for such cigarette, cigar, tobacco and alcoholic beverage business and vending machines, jukeboxes and any other device so specified pursuant to ordinance, notwithstanding the fact that such person may be engaging in some other business, occupation or activity for which a license was obtained hereunder.
