A classifiable set of fingerprints of every person who is now employed, or who hereafter becomes employed, as a full-time member of the Fire or Police Department, whether with or without compensation, shall be furnished to the Illinois Department of Law Enforcement and to the Federal Bureau of Investigation by the Board or other appropriate appointing authority, as the case may be.
