(A) See § 70.99 of this traffic code if no specific penalty is provided.
(B) (1) General penalty. Whoever violates §§ 72.01, 72.02 or 72.04 of this chapter shall be fined in an amount set by Council from time to time upon a second conviction within one year thereafter, shall be fined in an amount set by Council from time to time; and, upon a third or subsequent conviction, shall be fined in an amount set by Council from time to time.
(2) Construction zones.
(a) Any person who exceeds any posted speed restriction or traffic restriction at a construction site referred to in § 72.08 of this chapter by less than 15 mph shall be fined in an amount set by Council from time to time.
(b) Any person who exceeds any posted speed restriction or traffic restriction at a construction site referred to in § 72.08 of this chapter by 15 mph or more shall be fined in an amount set by Council from time to time or imprisoned not more than 20 days, or both.
