§ 70.31 APPLICABILITY OF STATE PRESUMPTIVE URBAN SPEED LIMIT.
   Except where special town speed limits are otherwise established and signs posted, the presumptive (prima facie) urban district speed limit of 20 mph shall be deemed to apply to all public thoroughfares within the corporate limits of the town, other than a state highway or state-maintained route where a different speed limit has been established and posted by the Indiana Department of Highways, and violators shall be cited for a state offense and liable to penalties as provided by IC 9-21-5-13.
