It shall be unlawful for any unauthorized person to destroy, remove, move, alter, deface, obscure or otherwise tamper with any official traffic control device:
(A) Established and maintained by the town pursuant to a town ordinance or a statute; or,
(B) Erected and maintained by the operator of a private entrance or exit pursuant to § 70.16.
