§ 92.20 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   (A)   On or before July 1 of each year, every owner of a dog or cat or other animal four months old or older shall apply to the dog warden for a license for each dog, cat or other animal kept by him or her. The application shall be accompanied by a license fee as follows:
      (1)   Each dog: $1.50;
      (2)   Each cat: $1.50;
      (3)   Each animal or other species: $1.50;
      (4)   Any kennel or pet shop having between five and ten animals in its possession during the year: $10;
      (5)   Any kennel facility having in excess of ten animals during the year: $15;
      (6)   Any animal dealer: $50;
      (7)   Any commercial zoo, animal act, circus or similar act of exhibition of animals, covering all animals kept: $50;
      (8)   Any lively or riding stable, covering all horses kept: $50; and
      (9)   Any abattoir, stockyard, hatchery, livestock auction or other place where livestock or poultry are regularly bred, kept, offered for sale or slaughtered for commercial purposes, covering all animals kept during the year: $100.
   (B)   No fee shall be required of any humane society, veterinary hospital, municipal animal control facility or zoological garden operated by a governmental agency.
   (C)   No license shall be issued for any kennel unless such kennel has been inspected by the dog warden and found to be meeting the standards for kennels herein.
