The term of office shall be four years, except that terms of the ward members appointed to the first Floodplain Management Commission shall end on December 31, 2009, for the Ward One member; December 31, 2010, for the Ward Two member; December 31, 2011, for the Ward Three member; and December 31, 2012, for the Ward Four member. The terms of the at-large members, the representative of The Friends of the Black Fork, and the representative of The Green Committee shall be concurrent with the term of the Mayor. In the event that a vacancy occurs during the term of any member, the successor shall be appointed for the unexpired portion of such term.
