§ 238.02 AUTHORITY OF CHIEF AND MAYOR.

The Chief of Police shall have control of the entire police force under the orders and direction of the Mayor, and he or she shall be directly responsible to the Mayor for his or her acts. It shall be the duty of the Chief and the entire force to keep order in the city and see that all the ordinances and penal laws of the state are properly enforced.
