917.03 FUTURE VACANCIES; WAITING LIST.

   (a)   A waiting list shall be established when any of the following four categories become filled: one bedroom, first floor; two bedroom, first floor; one bedroom, second floor; two bedrooms, second floor. Application for placement on a waiting list shall require a fifty dollar ($50.00) refundable application fee. An application for placement on a waiting list may be cancelled only by the written request of the applicant.

   (b)   The four waiting lists that are current on July 1, 2004 shall be fixed in the current listed order. Additional applicants after the July 1, 2004 established ranking will be added based on their application date. If an applicant on a waiting list declines an available lease, they will remain on said list in their current established order. All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements described in Section 917.01 when they apply for the waiting list and when they sign a lease. In the event that an applicant on the waiting list dies, the surviving spouse can be substituted on the same waiting list. Otherwise, the application fee will be refunded to the applicant’s estate.
