Any person, partnership or corporation performing work without a permit because of an emergency situation as defined in Section 1020.01 shall verify the emergency nature of the circumstances in writing to the City within the first regular business day after such emergency occurs. All work performed in an emergency situation must be done in compliance with the requirements of Sections 1020.12 through 1020.16 of this chapter, and a permit must be applied for on the first regular business day following the date the emergency occurred. All fees and performance guarantees will be required to be provided with the application form. Prior to commencing work in an emergency situation the person, partnership or corporation performing the work must notify the City of the nature of the emergency.
