126.01 CREATION AND PURPOSE.

   Under the provisions of Article V, Section 1 of the City Charter there is hereby created the Department of Recreation. The principal functions and purposes of the Department shall be to provide and maintain leisure time, recreational activities and services for residents of all ages, which may include, as determined by the Mayor, child care, youth and adult sports, and senior adults services, and to provide and maintain recreational programming, activities and facilities for the City.
