1407.09 DWELLING STRUCTURE.
   "Dwelling structure" means a building or structure, or part thereof, used or designed or intended to be used for residential purposes.

1407.10 DWELLING.
   “Dwelling” as defined herein and in Section 1211.02 of the Zoning Code means a building, or portion thereof, designed or used exclusively for residential occupancy; including one-family dwellings, two-family dwellings, multiple-family dwellings, but not including hotels or motels, camp cars, trailers, or any other vehicle on or off wheels. 1407.11 DWELLING UNIT.
   “Dwelling unit” as defined herein and in Section 1211.02 of the Zoning Code means any room or group of rooms located within a dwelling and forming a single habitable unit with facilities that are used, or intended to be used, for living, sleeping, cooking and eating.

1407.12 EFFICIENCY UNIT.
   “Efficiency unit” means an apartment or condominium unit that is designed or used as both a living room and bedroom with no separate bedroom. (Ord. 02-93. Enacted 7-22-02.)
1407.13 FAMILY.
   “Family” as defined herein and in Section 1211.02 of the Zoning Code means an individual or two (2) or more persons related by blood, marriage, guardianship, or legal adoption living together as a single housekeeping unit within a dwelling unit, plus no more than two (2) roomers or domestic servants. A family may also consist of not more than three (3) unrelated persons.

1407.14 HABITABLE FLOOR AREA.
   “Habitable floor area” means the gross horizontal area of the habitable rooms of a dwelling unit, which floor area is required to be contained within such dwelling structure in order to meet the minimum standards as found in Section 1411.02.

1407.15 HABITABLE ROOM.
   “Habitable room” means a room or enclosed floor space used or intended to be used for living, sleeping or eating purposes, but excluding the following: kitchens, bathrooms, toilet rooms, laundries, pantries, dressing rooms, storage spaces, foyers, hallways, utility rooms, heater rooms, boiler rooms, basement recreation rooms, interior rooms not provided with natural light and ventilation, and special purpose rooms shared by more than one (1) dwelling unit.

1407.16 HOTEL OR MOTEL.
   “Hotel or motel” as defined herein and in Section 1211.02 of the Zoning Code means an establishment that is open to transient guests for remuneration and for periods of time not exceeding thirty (30) days, as opposed to a boarding, rooming or lodging house; and that is commonly known as a hotel or motel in the community in which it is located; and which provides customary hotel services such as maid service, furnishing and laundering of linen, telephone and secretarial or desk service, and use and upkeep of furniture.
