(a) The regular full-time employees of the City shall be allowed paid holidays each year as follows:
Paid Holidays From and After
January 1, 2017
New Year’s Day
Martin Luther King’s Day
President’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Three Paid Absence Days
(b) Such employees shall be compensated eight hours for each paid absence day taken. Compensation for paid absence days may be claimed and received concurrently with paid vacation or paid holidays taken for the same time period that paid absence days are claimed.
