With the exception of those employees covered under Chapter 135 and with the exception of any other provisions contained in these Codified Ordinances, each employee of the City shall be paid, as follows, provided that such work is authorized by the department head:
(a) One and one-half times his or her regular rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty hours;
(b) Two times his or her regular rate of pay for hours worked on a City-recognized holiday after the employee has qualified to be paid for the holiday; and
(c) Two and one-half times his or her regular rate of pay for hours worked on a City- recognized holiday after the employee has been qualified to be paid for the holiday and the employee has worked forty hours, not including holiday hours worked, during the week of the holiday.
