133.13 DUTIES OF MEMBERS AS WITNESSES; JURY DUTY.
   (a)   Duties of Witnesses. Every member of the Division of Police shall appear without the necessity of subpoena whenever necessary in a prosecution for the violation of a Municipal ordinance or of any State or federal law.
   (b)   Excuse from Duty to Testify or Serve on Jury. Each full-time member of the Division who is called to and reports for jury or witness duty shall be excused for any regularly scheduled work days while he is so serving in any Municipal, County, State or federal proceedings, providing he gives prior notice in writing to his immediate supervisor.
   (c)    Compensations While on Witness or Jury Duty. Each member of the Division excused from duty pursuant to subsection (b) hereof, shall be compensated at his straight time pay rate less jury or witness duty fees, which it is the duty of the member to collect; excluding any overtime the member would have been scheduled to work and does not work. Any moneys received by the member for travel expenses shall not be deducted from his straight time pay. The member shall be entitled to the benefits of this subsection only if he gives prior notice in writing to his immediate supervisor. (Ord. 1153-77. Passed 5-9-77.)
