133.08 WORK SCHEDULES.
   (a)   Work Schedule of the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police, although on call for police duty twenty-four hours a day, shall be on regular duty only during such hours of such days and for a total number of hours, but not less than forty per week, as he may schedule himself as executive head of the Division of Police. Under ordinary circumstances, this should be a daylight shift and on a fairly regular schedule.
   (b)   Work Schedules of Other Members of the Division. A full-time patrolman, although on call for police duty twenty-four hours a day, shall be on a regular duty only during such hours of such days and for a total number of hours, but not less than forty, per week, as may be scheduled for him by the Chief of Police. Other full-time members of the Division shall be on regular duty only during such hours of such days and for a total number of hours, but not less than forty per week, as may be scheduled for them by the Chief of Police. All other members of the Division shall be on duty only during the hours and on the days, and for the total number of hours as may be scheduled for them by the Chief of Police. However, the foregoing notwithstanding, no member of the Division shall go off duty at the end of his regularly scheduled hours unless relieved by another member, or ordered to do so by the officer in charge of the Division.
