§ 6-5-15 SAME; MEMBER ABSENT ON LEAVE WITHOUT PAY.
   Any member absent on leave without pay may, for not to exceed one year, continue to make voluntary contributions, which contributions, however, shall be not less than at the rate of 6% of his or her most recent annual earned income, if he or she desires to continue to acquire further service credits during his or her leave of absence; provided, no contributions by a member absent on leave shall be made which do not conform to the requirements of Internal Revenue Code § 401(m), being 26 U.S.C. § 401(m) nondiscrimination test for matching contributions and employee contributions.
