§ 6-2-50 MEMBERS; APPOINTMENT; REMOVAL.
   The members of all boards or commissions shall be appointed by the City Manager, with the approval of the City Council. The unexpired portion of the term of any member whose office has been vacated, or the unexpired portion of the term to which no member shall have been appointed before their term commenced, shall be filled by appointment made by the City Manager, subject to the approval of the City Council. Members shall be removable for cause by the City Manager, but only upon written charges and after a public hearing. Provided however, that when the state statutes provide a different manner for the appointment or removal of such members, the terms of the statute shall control.
