§ 6-2-4 INCUMBENT OFFICER AND OFFICE; SURRENDER TO SUCCESSOR.
   Each appointive officer shall immediately upon the appointment and qualification of his or her successor, except as otherwise provided by ordinance, surrender his or her office on demand to his or her successor.
