Every gas appliance and accessory shall have an input rating for high altitude operation, established by a testing laboratory approved by the Plumbing Inspector, that is not less than the gas supply, and shall otherwise comply with applicable American Standard Approval or Listing Requirements covering safe operation, construction, and performance. Every gas appliance and accessory shall bear the label of a nationally recognized testing agency, such as American Gas Association.
